Hello Professor and class,
Nurses as leaders impact the overall healthcare system with knowledge about the law and political system. To develop an effective holistic care system that will provide care to every single patient or the one in need without discrimination, cultural difference, socio-economic status. It is especially important to understand by nurses the different roles and skills they have how they can utilize them (Whitney, 2018). My goal is to learn from the class to understand the formal and Informal power of nurse leader and how to utilize it at an organizational practical level.

Hi Professor Hicks and the class, Nursing is a dynamic and demanding profession that necessitates role models and leaders that are both engaging and motivating. One of the most difficult difficulties facing the nursing profession today is identifying and training nurse leaders in an ever-changing and demanding healthcare environment. The concept of leadership is a complex and multi-dimensional phenomenon; despite being one of the most observed concepts, no universally recognized definition or theory of leadership exists, according to studies conducted over a century. What true nursing leadership is and how it differs from management is becoming increasingly clear. One thing will always stay constant in the ever-changing healthcare industry: nurse leadership has a direct impact on an organization’s drive, performance, and people (caregivers and patients alike). Scully, (2015).
My goal is to obtain a good knowledge of leadership qualities and take up a leadership role in the near future. As a GCU student doing RN-BSN program I am sure that it can lead me to have my dream of becoming a Nurse leadership, soon. It is the first steppingstone in the realm of leadership. The present class helps me to have a promising idea about the theoretical part of Nursing leadership and management positions. Overall, the past experiences in the clinical field and the observation of our current leaders and managers is an asset in this field. I believe that I can achieve it through the current knowledge and practice as well as through continuing education.
