Leadership Style as a Barrier or Facilitator in the Dilemma

I have a hard time seeing have this type of leadership could be a barrier in the dilemma of unsafe staffing. The only point that I would consider would be that due to the fact that guardians tend to trust authority the barrier may be the guardian inability to stand up against authority in order to advocate for the rights of nurses and patients to be able to not only perform quality care but receive it. The facilitators would be the fact that guardians are logical, loyal and dependable. Meaning that they will not turn their backs on those they are determined to protect and that they can present logical points of interest to support their actions. The fact that guardian can be supervisors, providers or protectors also proves that they would serve as effective, trusting and supportive leaders striving for change excel lance and safety. In order for facilities to prosper they need strong leaders to not only support they staff but look out for the best interesting of the communities they are designated to serve. Ethical, moral and legal dilemmas can lead to loss of nurses, high pay outs in legal fees, and harmful medical errors in patients. It should be our goal as medical professionals to adhere to the newest evidence-based practicing and provide the bests of care for our patients. However, these goals cannot be accomplished without safe staffing patterns and support from both management and administration.
