Running Head: EDUCATION ON VACCINATION EDUCATION ON VACCINATION Name of Student School name Date of Submission 1 EDUCATION ON VACCINATION 2 Part one The problem was addressed during the meeting. During the meeting, the problem being addressed was mistrust as the main source of concern for why individuals were not participating in vaccination programs. I understood the main reasons for this hesitancy were complex, but I managed to highlight them. a. The community mistrusts the integrity of politicians who are lobbied by pharmaceutical companies. b. There is doubt in pharmaceutical companies who have the main principle of getting profits. c. Mistrust in the independence of research institutions. d. Doubt in medical journals and researchers may have a conflict of interest in vaccination programs (Piedimonte, 2018). e. Lack of trust in doctors who may not be fully educated on vaccination programs and are unwilling to raise these concerns. Why is mistrust a problem for the patient, family, or group? Mistrust exists as a personal exemption towards vaccination. Even though the law has made it compulsory for children to be vaccinated before entering school. People still feel politicians gain profits from these vaccination programs. It has been noted that pharmaceutical companies contribute directly to political campaigns; thus, they stand to gain when a certain political leader is elected. In turn, this proves vital as people tend to believe vaccination programs are entirely set for politicians and pharmaceutical gains. All the same, society still doubts the ability of doctors and nurses to deliver appropriate doses. There are assumptions that doctors are taught very little EDUCATION ON VACCINATION 3 about vaccination in their medical schools. Thus education on vaccines is not comprehensive. This lack of knowledge about a particular problem brings doubt to parents and the community at large. Nonetheless, mistrust is a big problem facing vaccination and should be addressed promptly. Planning and implementation of education as a method of intervention T he planning process defines the result of a project. Community leaders and health officials can come together in this process to plan on educating society. BSM Education on Vaccination how Patient Received Vaccine Intervention Essay
Leaders should call people together in a public meeting where health officials can talk about vaccination. Education is a continuous process; thus, society will be educated on vaccination during the entire process. Education as an intervention towards vaccination Giving people accurate knowledge and information to make appropriate decisions concerning their health and vaccination process is a crucial part of health systems. Education on vaccination aims to increase people’s knowledge and reduce their mistrust and attitudes concerning vaccination programs. When people are given the correct and appropriate guidelines on the benefits of vaccinations and the steps followed in getting the program into practice, the doubt will reduce, and more and more people will be vaccinated. Education will improve knowledge of vaccination and vaccines. The number of vaccinated people will increase as the mistrust reduces due to good communication and intervention steps. Education will indeed change the attitude in favor of vaccination among patients and parents. Certainly, education will make a difference in the involvement of parents in decision making about the vaccination. How will the patient, family, or group apply the intervention? Vaccine education is often given on face to face basis to parents or patients. For instance, this information can be given during clinical visits or at the clinic. The information can also be EDUCATION ON VACCINATION 4 given in large community groups during public meetings, women groups, or television and radio programs. Thus this form of intervention will be transmitted with a lot of ease. The use of technology and health systems outcomes in using this intervention Technology forms a big basis in the health care industry today. All the same, my intervention can still be applicable in the world of technology. For instance, a mobile app can be developed, whereby society will receive messages and vaccine procedures before vaccination. In addition to this, the health facilities can also store data in computers on who has been vaccinated or not. This will aid in having good results, which can be discussed and proofread in the future. Impact of the health policy and the cost of this intervention Health professionals and practitioners believe that the best way to prevent diseases is to educate society on the measures needed to avoid it. Nevertheless, education is a source of knowledge, and the entire health care team approves it among its policies. If you educate people on the benefit of being vaccinated, then they will attend the vaccination process. BSM Education on Vaccination how Patient Received Vaccine Intervention Essay
In the cost analysis, educating society is cheap compared to the cost of treating it. Thus individuals can come together in-clinic visits or even in community meetings, and the nurses can take up the mantle of educating them. How often will Education be used, and under what circumstances? Education on vaccination will be a continual process before, on, and after the vaccination process. Society will need to understand the policies of vaccination, implementation strategies, and even the vaccination exercise dates. The prior education before the vaccination exercise aids in preparing parents and patients alike for the upcoming exercise. All the same, this aids in EDUCATION ON VACCINATION 5 clearing any doubt or mistrust that may be present before the exercise commenced. Moreover, during the vaccination process, the community will also be educated on the venues, doctors, health officials, and stakeholders (Petek, 2018). This helps the society to have complete knowledge and acceptance towards the entire vaccination process. After the exercise, education is needed to establish any changes noted after a person has been vaccinated. Thus, education as an intervention strategy is needed through the vaccination process. How easy was the patient, family, or group able to use the intervention strategy? It was straightforward for the group to use this intervention strategy as it only involves listening, understanding, and asking questions where clarity is needed. Doubts on vaccinations were cleared as people understood the benefits of the entire process (Nain, 2019). It is the children and patients who benefit from vaccination and not politicians or pharmaceutical companies. All the same, the most important aspect of vaccination is to prevent diseases. Challenges associated with using Education as an intervention method The aspect of using education as a means of encouraging society to accept vaccination procedures has been acknowledged and recommended. However, there are challenges associated with this strategy. With inadequate finances, the government may lack enough money to hold meetings on vaccination procedures. This will affect the community as the message will not be delivered the way it was supposed to. Lack of enough medical personnel, there are few medical practitioners compared to the entire USA population. Thus, transmitting knowledge from one physical to an entire group of people may be a challenge. Nevertheless, vaccine hesitators and critics may also be a challenge to the entire process. These people may give misguided information to society concerning immunization, and thus removing the false information may be a challenge to most people. EDUCATION ON VACCINATION Necessity of instructions The instructions were necessary for giving the correct procedures and the appropriateness of the intervention method. Feedback on the intervention method and its helpfulness The community agreed on the importance and need for Education on vaccination in clearing the doubts built by vaccine-hesitant. The feedback was excellent, and they can’t wait for its implementation. Thus the intervention strategy was seen as a success, and its future use being awaited. How will society continue to use this intervention? Schooling people on the benefits of vaccination will be an ongoing process before, during, and after vaccination (Forshaw, 2017). These steps will be able to aid their efficiency and relationship with the community. How the intervention affects the community? People suffer due to a lack of knowledge. But with the correct knowledge and interpretation, the community is set to prosper positively and agree on vaccination policies and strategies. How will this impact be measured? The impact of education will be measured by carrying out questionnaires after vaccination and collecting data on how the vaccination exercise was carried out. 6 EDUCATION ON VACCINATION 7 Reference Forshaw, J., Gerber, S.
