There is much concern regarding the use of marijuana with some groups calling for its legalization because of its value, which is yet to be confirmed. On the other hand, others are of the opinion that marijuana is dangerous and there is no need for further investigation or research for the determination of its value. Marijuana exists it in two forms i.e.(e.g. regular marijuana used for the medical purposes and other functions as well the newly discovered strain called Cannabis or Charlotte’s web) (Egan & Bane, 2014).

Regular marijuana has low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the dominant substance. Regular marijuana is an important medicine that is used for the treatment of glaucoma, chemotherapy, and multiple sclerosis. The presence of the low-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in the regular marijuana has been one of the reasons why some people have called for the ban on its use. Those opposing the use of the regular marijuana are of the argument that the value of the regular marijuana is being overrated (Egan & Bane, 2014).

On the other hand, Charlottes’ web also known as a high-cannabidiol (CBD) tends to be more effective when compared to the low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) when used as medicine. This is because it has a high cannabidiol (CBD) when compared to regular marijuana.despite Despite Charlotte’s web having low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it is the presence of the high cannabidiol that helps in the reduction of the paranoia as well as the anxiety. It also serves as the energy booster and antipsychotic.

Charlotte’s web is essential for the treatment pain and the inflammation. Additionally, patients suffering from intestinal complications, epilepsy and bacterial infection find it ineffective to rely on Charlotte’s web. Despite having 40 percent concentration of high cannabidiol, Charlotte’s web is lacking importance, highly demanding and desirable nutrients like amino acids, vitamins, and omega-3 (Hearing & Balducci, 2017). Despite having knowledge concerning the lack of these important elements in Charlotte’s web, some have still gone ahead to acquire them. As a result, those advocating for this drug argue that it should be legalized in every state within the United States.

Therefore, to determine whether marijuana should be legalized or be replaced with the new strain of the Cannabis i.e. Charlotte’s webWeb, first the comparison between the two drugs in terms of medical value would be made. This would be followed by looking at both the advantages and the disadvantages then weighing on these factors to find out the option.

Comparing the medical value of the Regular Marijuana and the Charlotte’s Web

In terms of the amount of the cognitive impairment, the degree of regular marijuana is greater compared to Charlotte’s Web. Therefore Therefore, it only functions well upon the combination with the low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentrated regular marijuana to help in the mitigation of the stronger psychoactive properties. This can only be achieved through the help of a trained physician or the herbalist to precisely achieve the required combination. Despite low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) being considered bad, it works synergistically to produce therapeutic value.

Advantage of Recreational Marijuana legalization

The legalization of the marijuana for all-purpose imply that the government is listening to the demands of the people. There is also financial gain for the state and the business. In Colorado, approximately 69 million dollars is earned from marijuana taxes as compared to alcohol taxes, which only brings 42 million dollars (Basu, 2016). Forty-three million dollars comes from 10 percent sales taxes on the retail sales and about $ 26 million comes from 15 percent tax on wholesale (Basu, 2016). Legalization of the marijuana would also reduce the number of illegal drugs.

Disadvantages of legalizing recreational marijuana

Other population who does not support the legalization of marijuana would not be happy because it would give an impression to the kids that they can also involve in the use of the drugs. Children are likely to have a thought that all other drugs are also legalized. The level of drug addiction would increase thus leading to terrible side effects.

Advantages of legalizing medicinal marijuana

Legalization of the medical marijuana makes it viable and safe for the treatment of the illnesses such as cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, epilepsy, among other illnesses (ProCon.org, 2017). It also helps in relieving pain, nausea, and vomiting caused by sickness (Elders, 2015). Marijuana is less toxic as compared to other drugs. Medicinal marijuana is important in reducing prescription opioid use and the overdose deaths (National Institute on Drug Abuse, 2017).

Disadvantages

Advantage and disadvantages of legalizing recreational Charlotte’s Web

The benefit for the legalizing Charlotte’s Web for all-purpose, is that it makes it easier to access. medicine. It is always challenging for the people to get their hand the prescription. This implies that when it does not legalize as medicine, then the parent gets the chance of administering it to their children without an effort of looking for the doctor to fill the prescription. (This last sentence makes no sense you need to rewrite it). The disadvantage of legalizing Charlotte’s Web for all-purpose, is that the long-term effects are not known. It is not clear on the future impacts on the continuous use of marijuana (All Weed News, 2015).

Advantages and the disadvantages of medicinal Charlotte’s web

The medicinal advantage of Charlotte’s web is that it relieves adults and kids from the symptoms of the pain caused by illness. It also cures without hallucinogen impacts. The negative effect of Charlotte’s web is that people may go for it in the name of medicine and end up abusing it. Whether to legalize marijuana for medical purpose, for any purposes or to use the Charlotte’s web

Based on the comparison of the medicinal values both regular and Charlotte’s web as well as the advantages and disadvantages; the benefits and the advantages of the medicinal marijuana outweigh those of Charlotte’s web. The medicinal marijuana is consisting of important supplements needed in the body and this includes amino acids, vitamins, and the omega-3. It is also safe for the treatment of the patients with cancer, AIDS, glaucoma among other illnesses. As a result of the above benefits, some states have legally recognized medical and all-purpose marijuana.
