This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeChapter 3: Methods
1. Method is defined (if literature review, a seminal work is used to define what that means).
2. Method is clear. If you did a literature review, exactly how you did it, so it can be replicated, must be listed step by step. If you used a survey, which survey, who or how was it designed, what questions(APPENDIX), how did you pick your subjects to survey, include an Appendix of the consent form as well. What was the method used to deliver and receive the surveys? Method used must be evident in the results collected. Method used most also be evident in the introduction where you outline the thesis. As such, Method must have alignment within your paper. |

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeChapter 4: Results
Aligned with Thesis, research questions, method and conclusion. Results RESTATE the research question/s and shortly describe the method used to answer the questions. Results are clear (this cannot be stated strongly enough). Results are graphed or figured for clarity where possible. The entire scope of the project is evident in this section. For example, if 20 research articles were synthesized from the literature, the reader can clearly decipher what the student researcher found THEMATICALLY. If the results come from surveys, the summary of the survey findings is clearly listed so that any reader could understand the link between methods to the results.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeChapter 5: Discussion
Discussion takes the results section and “discusses” them. Using the literature in your introductory literature review (or results if necessary), the student researcher, describes the most likely reason for the findings in the results section. If the results are in line with your assumptions (in the thesis) then STATE THAT OR ANY DIFFERENCE FROM YOUR THESIS. This is critical.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeFormat: APA 7th edition format and Grammar
APA is more than referencing and citation. It is a method of writing. Be sure your paper has alignment between research questions, thesis statement, method, results, and conclusion. Verify that formatting is APA and grammar is correct. Papers should be 3-8 sentences per paragraph with flow from one paragraph to the other. New categories are identified with headings and subheadings. Sentences are active voice (not passive). Citations are correctly formatted. No running head but page numbers, margins and font are per APA.
