Essential V: Health Care Policy, Finance, and Regulatory Environments Healthcare policies heavily influence healthcare system because its set up to ensure that the patient receive the safest and most optimal care. It is also set up so health care personnel can stay safe when performing certain procedures or caring for patients Health are policies are sent up to provide a quality and safe practice environment. The impact of financing is to determine access to health care services. It is important for nurses to have a good understanding on how patient healthcare is financed and how It is structured. When it comes to professional nursing practice, nurses are obligated to provide quality care for our patient and to do no harm. What I did to meet this criteria is whenever I’m on the floor, I always try my best to practice proper hand hygiene and do little things like making sure to clean and wipe the medications when I give and administer medications to my patient. With covid, it is extremely important now to stay clean and I know a lot of nurses are busy so whenever my nurse is sitting and charting, I would offer to clean, wipe and change all the patient’s rooms who got discharged. ..
