Review and follow APA requirements to cite your interview as a personal communication (APA, 2020, p. 260)The in-text citation for the interview should appear at the beginning or the end of the interview, but only once.

Before your interview, print and carefully review this template

You will use this template to document the interviewee’s responses.

Include a citation for personal communication in APA format (APA, 2020, p. 260). You only need to list this ONCE.

The interview is graded based on the depth and quality of your responses to groups of questions. This  will be utilized by your instructor to evaluate your interview.

This is an example from a student’s interview from last year “In Japanese culture seafood is their main source of protein. Vegetables are abundant and white rice is served at every meal. Miso soup is made daily. All meals are important, but dinner is the largest and all members should attend”. I’m not stating that this is the best example, but it is sufficient for you to get the feel. You are just stating facts that your interviewee states in answer to your questions.
